Concert for Gus Thornton |
A
benefit for St. Louis Bass Player extraordinaire Gus Thorton will
take place Monday, October 2nd at the Beale on Broadway
701 South Broadway from 9pm - 2am.
Gus' wife Charlene passed away last Friday morning. In an effort to
help out a great friend and musician we are asking for your help through
donations of time and money at this special event.
Gus Thorton has been part of the St. Louis music scene for over 30
years. He currently backs Kim Massie and the Solid Senders and has
played and toured with the likes of Bo Diddley, Albert King, Stevie
Ray Vaughn and Johnnie Johnson. Quite simply the best at his craft...and
one of the nicest people you could ever meet. The creme of St. Louis
musicians will be offering their talents at this benefit. A highly
recommended show.
We are asking for a donation of $10.00 at the door to help Gus and
his family. Please come by Monday, October 2nd and show your love
and support for this great guy who has given us so much great music
