Dave
'Big Dave'
Beardsley
I'm Dave - nicknamed Big Dave - as the gang at STLBlues
felt a nickname was mandatory for a Blues publisher.
What started as a hobby has grown into an innovative
music promotion company, based in St. Louis, with
band, venue and advertising connections around the
world, and thousands of daily visitors.

our Live Music Calendar!
I serve as the publisher and editor of STLBlues. The
driving force behind this has always been my love
of the Blues.
Big
Jim Von Tellrop
Jim
has been a STLBlues contributor since 2000, covering
the West Coast, and is our Left Coast contact. If
you're a band or event and call the west coast home,
make sure you contact Big Jim for the best in STLBlues
promotion.
A influence and mentor to STLBlues, he's one of the
reasons STLBlues exists.
East
Side Slim
Long time resident of the right-side of the Mighty
Mississippi, East Side Slim is an aficionado of all
forms of music branching from the Great Mother Tree
of blues. After many years spent in a seemingly endless
quest for music of the soul (and the occasional top-flight
barley pop), this quest was sated upon sinking deep,
deep roots into the ground surrounding ol' Saint Lou.

When not working, enjoying family and friends or pursuing
musical enlightenment, East Side Slim also enjoys
scuttlebuttin', concocting Tang-based beverages, hunting
for that elusive perfect bowling shirt, and turning
YOU on to great music via his reviews on www.stlblues.net.

'Cornbread' Cohen
Hey
ya'll, Cornbread here.
Big Dave and CornbreadThere
is much myth about the naming Cornbread, I will set
the record straight for you. Far from the urban legend,
I was not the youngest of thirteen children living
in an abandoned boxcar in Texarkana and my family
never sheared cotton. I was born in St. Louis as Peter
Cohen. The nickname Cornbread was first used officially
during the hot summer of 2001 at a blues festival
where I was introduced to Johnnie Johnson as Cornbread.
He smiled called me Cornbread, and the rest is history
as they say. There is a Grand-pappy Cornbread who
was a wise old man and mentor for me. While illiterate
and a man of very few words, I find myself reflecting
on his wisdom and quoting him from time-to-time.
Much like Big Dave,
I too love the blues - especially Texas and Chicago
blues guitar and gritty vocals with a little funkiness
added in. By day I work as a banker and by night I
find myself reviewing CD's, corresponding with other
blues aficionados and playin' bass in The Brown Dog
Blues Band.

Well, it's been over five years since hooking up with
Big Dave, in that time I've had the privilege of having
more than 300 reviews published, hearing great music,
meeting great people and the chance to visit with
many of my idols.
Drop me a line, I'd
love to hear a good, bad or even an amusing anecdote
or any funky blues should know about. Also, visit
the STLBlues Calendar for my band schedule or my
Myspace
Peace
& love,
Peter 'Cornbread' Cohen, CBP

'Fest Junkie' Welsh
Greetings
from the Crescent City... New Orleans! I live for the
next festival or live music event. My passions are photography
and music and they go together like red beans and rice.
I live near New Orleans, so I am fortunate to have access
to one of our great cities for music. I enjoy cultural
events such as second line parades, jazz funerals (We
put the FUN in FUNeral!), Mardi Gras Indians, and rhythms
of all genres, but preferably BLUES! I cut my teeth
on the Beatles, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, and Led
Zeppelin. I love Stevie Ray Vaughan, John Hiatt, Buddy
Guy, Sonny Landreth, John Mooney, and all Delta blues.
I look forward to keeping you abreast of events in the
Southeast of our great country. May all of your blues
be on the radio... or LIVE if you seek it out!

"Miss
Vickie"
I love music!
It's in my blood. My dad and his brothers played piano,
fiddle, clarinet, sax, and trombone. My dad, Ozzie Pucci,
played some really great piano bar and fiddle. My uncle,
Sylvio Pucci, played clarinet with Russ David for many
years. My uncle, Ben Pucci, played horn. I'll be talking
to musicians and venues to get the insight on what they're
all about. I'm here to tell the stories. Real
Blues and Real People!
